Michael Mallie

 Founder and Producer

Michael Mallie is an Emmy and PGA nominated producer and award-winning filmmaker. He is known for Nothing Compares, Tír Eoghain: The Unbreakable Bond, Stephen McCoy: My Fight to Live, A Woman’s Place, Basil Blackshaw: An Edge of Society Man and Paisley: Genesis to Revelation.

 

His work has been shown at festivals worldwide including Sundance, Tribeca, Hot Docs, IDFA, CPH:DOX and Sheffield Doc Fest.

 

His projects have received funding from Screen Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, BFI/Doc Society, The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and the New York based Field of Vision.

 

He has been commissioned by the main broadcasters across Ireland and the UK including RTE, BBC, ITV, TG4 and Virgin Media.

Declan McGrath

Producer 

Declan McGrath’s most recent film as a producer and director, Young Plato, won the 2022 IFTA for best documentary and was also IDA and BIFA nominated. Theatrically released in Ireland, UK, France, Japan and the USA, Young Plato has won over ten film festival awards including DIFF, Thessaloniki and Docs Against Gravity. In 2019, Declan’s Lomax in Éirinn won the overall  Spirit of the Festival prize at the Celtic Media Awards and the Oireachtas Award for Best Documentary.

 

Other recent credits as director include the winner of the 2017 Radharc Awards, Mary McAleese & The Man Who Saved Europe (RTE, BBC, NI Screen, BAI), Tír Eoghain: The Unbreakable Bond, Stephen McCoy: My Fight to Live, A Woman’s Place.

 

Declan has written two books on the craft of filmmaking and contributes to the New York film journal, Cineaste. He has also worked as a film editor for over twenty-five years. In 2019, Declan produced a radio documentary for RTE, The Occupation, that was nominated for a New York Media Award. He also produced an App which won Best App at the 2018 Celtic Media Awards.

Annika Cassidy

Producer 

Annika has been in the Irish film industry in various departments for over 15 years, working as a Production and Development Executive with Subotica Films on feature films such as Unless, Terminal and Joyride.

 

She has also production assisted and production managed features A Christmas Perfection and Twice Shy respectively. She also works as a creative in creative commercial production.

Brian Kelly

Business & Production Consultant


Having worked in Ireland, UK, USA, Japan and Italy, Brian has garnered an eclectic career across Film, TV, Radio, Media Management and Education.

 

Brian has Directed and Production Managed feature films for American studios and has Series Produced multiple comedy/drama seasons for RTÉ. He has also produced Fact. Ent. series for TV3 and TG4.

 

He has commissioned, produced and directed a radio drama season and served as a script consultant/dramaturg across Film,TV and Theatre projects.

 

Brian has a Masters in screenwriting from The National Film School and a postgraduate qualification in Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from The Innovation Academy at UCD.
